haha so true... you always learn to accept what you're told from the other person because you trusted them for so long. when you begin to live off on your own, you begin to re-evaluate what the other person said and begin to realize what a moron you were in believing the negative crap they said about you, which may be partly true but is probably least important fact about yourself.
